Lutheran Community Services Northwest 

Opening Minds through Art (OMA) is an intergenerational art program for people with dementia. 

These FREE art classes run for six weeks on Wednesdays at 2 pm and Thursdays at 11 am. 

Music and Memories

Introducing music classes for people with dementia. 

Classes are held virtually via Zoom and are FREE! Pre-registration is required and spots are limited.

Aging and Disability Resources

Aging and Disability Resources (ADR) is designated by the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services / Aging and Long Term Support Administration as the Area Agency on Aging (AAA) for Pierce County. As an AAA, ADR is responsible for local planning, coordination and administration of Federal and State funds targeted to provide a comprehensive system of long term services and supports (LTSS) designed to address the needs and support community living for frail older adults, adults with disabilities and their caregivers residing in Pierce County.

“Under The Big Top” Community Resource Fair

 

Coming Up On Friday, December 2, 2022

On The Road with PartnerCafe, a direct service mobile team, is proud to present their “Under the Big Top” Community Resource Fair on Friday, December 2, 2022, from 12pm to 4pm. This free event will happen at the STAR Center, located at 3873 South 66th Street, Tacoma, WA 98409. This event is free with no pre-registration and no RSVP is required. Attendees can choose to register online any time before the day of the fair to receive one free raffle ticket. Join Us For SAGE Table

November 12th, 2022

Winter is coming! You can feel it in the air- cooler temperatures, gusty winds, leaves falling from the trees. On November 12th, Pierce County Aging & Disability Resources and Tacoma Older LGBT will co-host a SAGE Table to explore what the winter season means to you. For older LGBT adults, this can be a time of mixed emotions, or it can be a time of great joy spent with chosen family. Come gather to share your experiences, stories, and wisdom for thriving during this time of year. Refreshments will be provided! SAGE Table will be held on Saturday, November 12th, between 1 and 3 p.m. at Pierce County Human Services, 3602 Pacific Ave., Suite 200, Tacoma 98418.
