Pam Nolte, Taproot Theatre Co-founder, actor, and creator of Taproot's theatre classes for individuals with memory loss, began her professional theatre career in 1976 as a founding member of Seattle’s Taproot Theatre Company. Over the past fifty years she has appeared in more than eighty productions with Taproot and a variety of other professional Seattle theatre companies.

Pam created the first of Taproot's theatre classes for individuals with memory loss in 2011 for the Greenwood Senior Center in Seattle. Since that time, she and the company's other specially trained improv teachers have shared Taproot's memory loss classes with Arts Organizations, Service Clubs, Retirement Communities, Senior Centers and more. Taproot Theatre’s own ongoing monthly "Re-Ignite the Mind with Improv" classes have continued without interruption since 2011, moving to Zoom, during the pandemic shut down.

Currently, In-Person and online Z-improv classes for “Re-Ignite the Mind with Improv” are offered year-round.
